AKP Phnom Penh, March 24, 2026 --

Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly (NA) of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Xaysomphone Phomvihane on his re-election as the Lao NA President.

“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I would like to extend to the Honourable President my warmest and sincere congratulations and felicitations on the occasion of your re-election as the President of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic at the inaugural session on the twenty-third of March, 2026,” read the message.

“Our two nations share a deep-rooted bond of traditional friendship, solidarity, Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership. We always attach great importance to the enduring cooperation between our two legislatures at both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, which have deepened with renewed strengths, bringing common benefits to our peoples,” Samdech Khuon Sudary underlined.

The Cambodian NA President concluded her message with her commitment to working closely with H.E. Xaysomphone Phomvihane to further strengthen the two countries’ existing parliamentary cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels for the mutual benefits of the two peoples and the advancement of the region and beyond.
