Energy Minister Meets TotalEnergies Executive to Discuss Rising Fuel Prices
AKP Phnom Penh, March 26, 2026 -- Minister of Mines and Energy H.E. Keo Rottanak held talks with a senior executive of France’s TotalEnergies on Mar. 26 in Phnom Penh to discuss rising global oil and gas prices and their impact on energy supply.
During the meeting, the Vice President of TotalEnergies, a major energy supplier in the region including Vietnam and India, highlighted a significant shortage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) amid ongoing global supply pressures.
He also encouraged consumers in Cambodia to conserve energy as much as possible, noting that the continuing conflict in the Middle East is contributing to supply disruptions.
While acknowledging that prices of gasoline and diesel have increased, the company indicated that their supply situation remains relatively more stable compared to LPG.
The TotalEnergies representative reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continue supporting Cambodia in addressing energy challenges.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, fuel prices effective from Mar. 26, 2026 until further notice are set at 5,450 Riel (about US$1.36) per litre for regular gasoline (Gasoline 92) and 7,100 Riel (about US$1.77) per litre for diesel (Gasoil 10ppm).
