Cambodia Human Rights Chief Delivers PM’s Border Defence Message to Frontline Brigade
AKP Phnom Penh, April 06, 2026 --
A Cambodian senior minister and human rights chief visited frontline troops near the Thai border Sunday, delivering Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and the First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony’s personal wishes for the upcoming New Year while reaffirming Phnom Penh’s commitment to “peaceful, friendly borders” with its neighbours.
H.E. Keo Remy, a Senior Minister and President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee, handed over supplies to the commander and deputy commander of the 42nd Infantry Brigade in Oddar Meanchey province.
Provincial Governor H.E. Men Chanyada welcomed the delegation at the provincial hall.
Speaking to the troops, H.E. Keo Remy conveyed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet’s message that the Premier “always remembers our forces.” He urged the soldiers to maintain good health and success in their mission of defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Crucially, the Senior Minister framed the brigade’s role not as confronting an imminent threat but as upholding a Royal Government policy of transforming the border into a zone of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
