AKP Phnom Penh, July 22, 2026 --
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has encouraged American companies to expand their investments and explore new business opportunities in Cambodia, reaffirming the Royal Government's commitment to maintaining a competitive, transparent, and investor-friendly business environment.
The Prime Minister made the remarks while receiving a delegation of the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), led by its President and CEO, H.E. Ambassador Brian McFeeters, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.
During the meeting, Samdech Thipadei expressed his appreciation to U.S. companies for their confidence in investing in Cambodia, noting that their investments have not only contributed to the Kingdom's socio-economic development but have also strengthened bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Cambodia and the U.S.
Samdech Thipadei welcomed the continued commitment of American businesses to deepen their engagement with Cambodia by expanding existing investments and exploring opportunities in new high-potential sectors.
The Prime Minister also briefed the delegation on the Royal Government's policies and key measures aimed at supporting the success of investors operating in Cambodia. These include investment incentives and tax preferences, institutional reforms, and the simplification of administrative procedures to facilitate business operations while enhancing Cambodia's competitiveness at both the regional and global levels.
Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed the Royal Government's strong commitment to preserving a favourable investment climate and ensuring fair competition for all companies investing in Cambodia.
Samdech Thipadei further encouraged the USABC delegation to continue engaging with relevant ministries and institutions to identify and seize new investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
Earlier, the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council delegation highlighted the strengths that American companies bring to the Cambodian market, including world-class products and services, trusted business practices, advanced technologies, and long-term investment in local workers and communities. The delegation noted that stronger U.S. commercial engagement could help create quality jobs, develop Cambodia's human capital, and enable Cambodian businesses to integrate more closely with global markets.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment of Cambodia and the U.S. private sector to further strengthening trade, investment, and economic cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries.
