Cambodia exported 707,000 tonnes of milled rice in the first seven months of 2026, earning US$415.12 million, according to a report released by the Cambodia Rice Federation on Aug. 5.

The figures represent a dramatic 68 percent surge in export volume and a 34.3 percent increase in total revenue compared to the same period last year, stated the report.

European Union countries remained the Kingdom’s largest market by value, with 207,157 tonnes of milled rice exported for more than US$156.45 million, the report stated.

China and its autonomous regions imported 174,930 tonnes, valued at US$103.31 million, while five ASEAN member states purchased 266,300 tonnes worth US$102.84 million.

Cambodia also exported 59,084 tonnes of milled rice, valued at US$52.52 million, to 25 other markets, including countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Fragrant rice continued to dominate Cambodia’s rice exports, accounting for 59.23 percent of total milled rice shipments during the period.

White rice represented 23.66 percent, followed by broken rice at 13.70 percent. Organic rice accounted for 1.28 percent, while parboiled rice made up 1.93 percent. Other rice varieties represented the remaining 0.2 percent.

In addition to milled rice, Cambodia exported more than 3 million tonnes of paddy rice during the first seven months of the year, generating estimated revenues of US$665.70 million.
