Cambodian athletes had claimed seven medals at the 2026 Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships in Mongolia as of 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 5, delivering an encouraging performance while the Kingdom also secured the right to host the next continental championship in 2028.

According to H.E. Keo Remy, Senior Minister and President of the Cambodia ITF Taekwon-Do Federation, the medals were won in the patterns (Tul) and power breaking events.

The medal winners are Siv Sereyboth, who captured a gold medal; Serey Ratanavong, who also won gold; Dim Chhaykunthavoreak, who earned silver; Lim Kheng, who claimed silver in the women's power breaking event; Net Hakly, who secured silver in the men's power breaking event; Serey Ratanapong, who won bronze; and Leng Chhorkitya, who also took bronze.

Meanwhile, Cambodia was unanimously selected to host the 12th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships in 2028, defeating competing bids from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The decision was made during the General Assembly of the Asian Taekwon-Do Federation (ATF), held in Mongolia on Aug. 4 on the sidelines of the 11th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships.

The continental tournament is taking place in Mongolia from Aug. 3 to 9, with Cambodia represented by a 47-member delegation, including 32 athletes from the junior and senior national teams.
