The Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with a local mobile service provider METFONE have partnered to promote tourism via a join campaign “My Village, My Food,” which aims to promote Cambodia’s tourism destinations by showcasing the unique local cuisines of different provinces.
The MoU of the collaboration was signed here on Sept.8 between H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Mr. Cao Manh Duc, Chief Executive Officer of METFONE.
Through this collaboration, the Ministry of Tourism and METFONE have jointly produced seven short videos under the “My Village, My Food” campaign, featuring signature local dishes from the provinces of Kampot, Kep, Preah Sihanouk, Siem Reap, Battambang, Pursat, and Takeo.
The videos will be released progressively through October 2026 across the social media platforms of the Ministry of Tourism, provincial departments of tourism, METFONE, and participating content creators (influencers).
H.E. Minister also expressed his appreciation and gratitude for METFONE’s innovative, technology-driven initiative to help promote Khmer culinary identity and Cambodia’s tourism potential.
H.E. Huot Hak emphasised that both parties will continue to strengthen and expand their partnership through new areas of cooperation that are closer, more effective, and results-oriented, with the shared goal of promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and culinary heritage to domestic and international audiences.
