Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in Jan. 11 sent a message to H.E. Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President of the United States of America, over the deadly blaze in Los Angeles.
“I have learned with profound sadness about the devastating wildfires, severely affecting various regions in Los Angeles, California, he wrote. “These wildfires have resulted in the tragic loss of life, immense destruction, and the displacement of thousands of residents from their homes and communities.”
On this sad occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet extended, on behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and, through H.E. President, to the people of the United States, especially those directly impacted by this tragic disaster.
“I firmly believe that, under the wise leadership of your Administration and with the strong dedication and concerted efforts of all emergency personnel, the United States will overcome these challenges and emerge stronger than ever,” said the Cambodian Premier.
The fast-moving blaze has ravaged Los Angeles since Tuesday, claiming at least 11 people.
