Over 1,150 Vocational Scholarships Available for Cambodian Youth Under Royal Government Initiative
AKP Phnom Penh, August 11, 2026 -- Cambodia’s Regional Polytechnic Institute Techo Sen Northeast (RPITSE) has opened applications for 1,150 vocational training scholarships across 11 skill tracks, paired with monthly Royal Government stipends for youth from impoverished and vulnerable families.
Operating under the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, RPITSE is accepting immediate enrollment in masonry, motorcycle repair, beauty services, electric welding, home air conditioning servicing, building electrical wiring, automotive repair, men’s barbering, Khmer culinary arts, banana farming, and rubber tree harvesting.
Applicants aged 15 and above are eligible with a Cambodian national ID or birth certificate, while holders of Equity Cards (Level 1 or 2) or At-Risk Family ID Cards will receive ongoing financial allowances.
The offer comes as part of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet’s flagship national programme to provide technical training to 1.5 million underprivileged youth. According to institute data, 2,600 trainees, including 1,806 from targeted low-income households, have benefited from full scholarships across 12 skill majors between Nov. 2023 and July 20, 2026.
