American Cambodian Business Chamber Delegation Shows Interest in Investing in Key Sectors in Cambodia

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a delegation of the American Cambodian Business Chamber (ACBC), led by its Founder and President Ms. Sokveasna Chan, for a courtesy call and discussions at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh on Sept. 10.
During the meeting, Ms. Sokveasna Chan briefed the Prime Minister on the purpose of the business delegation’s visit to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia.
She said that during their business visit, the delegation had held meetings and courtesy calls with leaders of relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.
The ACBC President spoke highly of the welcome and support extended by the relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions and shared information on investment potential in key sectors of Cambodia.
In particular, ACBC member companies expressed strong interest in investing in logistics, agriculture and furniture, with the aim of strengthening business linkages between investors from the two countries and further expanding bilateral trade.
In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed the ACBC founder and delegation to Cambodia, describing the business visit as an important impetus for strengthening business linkages between Cambodia and the United States.
The Prime Minister underlined that the two countries still have considerable potential to expand cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, and expressed optimism that Cambodian products would have an increasingly strong presence in the U.S. market in the future.
Samdech Thipadei also highlighted the Royal Government’s vision of transforming the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port into a regional logistics hub, as well as its intention to strengthen connectivity between the port and major ports in the United States.
